Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Coder to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. As a Clinical Coder, you will play a vital role in extracting clinical information from patient records and translating medical terminology into nationally recognized codes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Extract clinical information from patient records and translate medical terminology into nationally recognized codes.
  • Use national classifications, such as ICD-10 and OPCS4, to accurately and efficiently code patient data.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely coding.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in coding systems and guidelines.

Requirements
  • GCSE or equivalent pass in English, Maths, and Science.

  • Accredited Clinical Coder Certification or attendance of any HSCIC courses.
