Position Overview

The successful candidate will become a vital member of our esteemed Radiology team, collaborating with 12 dedicated Radiology doctors, 8 Consultant Radiologists, and 3 Specialty grade doctors to deliver exceptional radiological services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert radiological consultations and services to all users of the radiology departments.
  • Ensure adherence to Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposures) Regulations, working closely with the radiation protection supervisor and advisor.
  • Take personal accountability for the clinical management of referred patients.
  • Offer guidance and information to clinical colleagues and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Contribute to the supervision, training, and professional growth of radiographic staff and other team members.
  • Engage in educational sessions alongside other clinical specialties.
  • Actively participate in departmental audits and governance processes.
  • Attend relevant multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance collaborative care.
  • Maintain continuous professional development in accordance with RCR guidelines.
  • Fully engage in the Trust's appraisal and revalidation processes.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Full Registration and a license to practice with the General Medical Council.

Desirable:

  • FRCR or equivalent radiology qualification.
  • Additional qualifications in medical education, clinical research, or management.
