We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled professional to become a vital member of our Pharmacy Team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn as the Senior Pharmacy Manager for Surgical and Critical Care.

In this pivotal position, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care within surgical and critical care settings, introducing innovative practices and advanced technologies to adapt to the changing needs of our services in the Surgical Division.

You will contribute to the development of our new healthcare facility, ensuring it meets the high standards expected by our patients, local communities, and dedicated staff.

Key Responsibilities

Overview of the position:

Direct the Pharmacy Clinical Services for Surgical and Critical Care, collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team Supervise the Pharmacy surgical team Lead initiatives aimed at improving medication management within the surgical department

Qualifications and Professional Development

Essential

Master's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience Registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Desirable

Membership in a clinical or professional pharmacy organization MSc in Clinical Pharmacy

Experience

Essential

Extensive post-registration experience with significant hospital exposure Proven experience in delivering pharmacy clinical services across various surgical specialties Background in providing and assessing pharmacy education and training, including mentorship Experience in managing or supervising pharmacy staff Proven track record in implementing and reviewing policies and guidelines Evidence of ongoing professional development

Strong communication skills to engage effectively with healthcare professionals and patients Ability to provide expert guidance on medication use in specialized areas Competence in managing complex or challenging situations Effective time management skills to meet deadlines Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage workload Advanced reasoning and judgment capabilities
