Exciting Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmaceutical IT Specialist, you will play a vital role in the development, implementation, and enhancement of our Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the EPMA system as the system administrator
  • Provide expert technical support for the development, implementation, and enhancement of the EPMA system
  • Maintain other digital systems within the pharmacy department and assist in the implementation of new pharmacy digital systems
  • Conduct staff training on the use of EPMA and other digital systems across the Trust

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to develop their skills in IT and digital transformation. You will work closely with our team to innovate and advance the use of technology and informatics to support our growing digital agenda and quality enhancement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services
  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Accredited Checking Technician certification
  • SQL Reporting training

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

  • IT qualification
  • Train the Trainer or equivalent qualification
  • Project management qualification

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in SQL reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate
