Role Overview
HOPe not Hate is seeking an experienced Local Campaigns Organiser to work out of the North East of England and Wales, building resistance to the far right in local communities. As a member of our small but impactful team, you will be working alongside key stakeholders to identify and address key issues that may form campaigns.

Job Description
This role involves mobilising and organising HOPE not Hate supporters, providing support to the wider C&C team, and working with local community groups and leaders to develop relationships and capacity.

Responsibilities:
  • Mobilise and organise HOPE not Hate supporters in the North East of England and Wales
  • Work with local community groups and leaders to develop relationships and capacity
  • Provide support to the wider C&C team, including identifying potential 'campaign heroes' across the country

Requirements:
This role requires someone with a deep respect for local communities susceptible to the far right, living in the region currently, and having local connections. You should have experience in a political or community organising role with excellent political judgement and a clean driving licence.

Working Environment:
You will be part of a small yet impactful team making a difference in building resistance to the far right across the UK. This role sits within the Campaigns and Communications Department of HOPE not Hate, working alongside our Director, Press Lead, Digital Lead, Content Officer, and National Campaigns and Organising Lead.
