Care Support Specialist

Crosslaw House Care Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in caring for the elderly and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our close-knit care team. As a Care Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:
• Assisting residents with daily routines, promoting independence and encouraging them to maintain their skills and abilities.
• Providing personalized care and support to each resident, following their care plan and responding to their individual needs.
• Monitoring residents' health, communicating concerns and assisting with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals as required.
• Upholding residents' dignity and respect, ensuring they feel valued and cared for at all times.
• Encouraging social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
• Maintaining clean, safe and comfortable living spaces, responding to emergencies or call bells as needed.
• Assisting residents with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
• A SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
• At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, or transferable skills.
• A genuine interest in caring for the elderly and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
• Integrity, respect and a strong sense of teamwork.
