Job Description

As a Care Assistant at Beechgrove Care Home, you will play a vital role in our close-knit care team, ensuring our residents receive exceptional care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, promoting independence and positive choices.
  • Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicating concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager.
  • Champion Dignity: Uphold residents' dignity and respect, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
  • Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm environment.
  • Safety and Comfort: Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to emergencies.
  • Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs are met.

Requirements:

  • SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred.
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with transferable skills.
  • Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
