
Residential Child Care Worker Opportunities

Pebbles Care Limited is seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Cluster Residential Child Care Worker.
This role offers stability with the added benefit of varied work, ideal for someone who is flexible throughout the working week, nights and weekends.
As part of our team, you will build long-lasting relationships with our children and young people, accompanying them to school or college, facilitating family contact, creating a warm and comforting environment, and encouraging participation in local activities and hobbies.
Your Role as a Residential Child Care WorkerYou will work on a full-time basis, averaging 56 hours per week. As part of a team on shift, you may provide support on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis, depending on the needs of the child.
With expert advice and training from our psychology, education, and learning and development specialists, you will be well-equipped to safeguard our young people from risk and harm.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and well-being of our children and young people, including keeping them safe, having someone to talk to, and supporting them in education and other activities.
Key Responsibilities- Driving company vehicles to transport young people to appointments, education, and other activities.
- Providing support on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis, depending on the needs of the child.
- Safeguarding young people from risk and harm.
We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, based on experience, as well as excellent employee benefits and discounts that support your health and wellbeing.
Our Cluster Residential Child Care Workers are based within one home on a full-time basis and work a rota pattern of one day on (24 hours including sleepover) and two days off (48 hours).
To succeed in this role, you must possess highly responsible and accountable qualities when it comes to safeguarding children and young people, as well as a keen interest in pursuing relevant child care qualifications and training.
Desirable qualities include up to 12 months' experience working with children or young adults, and a desire to obtain SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma, relevant to Children and Young People's Residential workforce.
