Logistics Internal Sales Executive Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Internal Sales Executive to join our client, a UK Freight and Logistics company based in North Yorkshire.

As a Logistics Internal Sales Executive, you will be responsible for building relationships with existing clients to nurture and maximise business potential. You will proactively engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

Main duties of the Logistics Internal Sales Executive include:

  • Account Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Freight Quotations: Generating and calculating freight quotations and tender documents to meet client requirements.
  • Sales Correspondence: Drafting and sending appropriate sales correspondence to clients, including quotes, proposals, and follow-up emails.
  • Follow-up Calls: Conducting regular follow-up calls with clients to ensure they are satisfied with the services provided and to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Sales Process Management: Managing the sales process from initial contact to closure, ensuring that quotes are completed promptly and followed up to maximise conversion.
  • Client Visiting: Visiting clients as required to build relationships and understand their needs.

Key skills and experience required for the Logistics Internal Sales Executive role include:

  • Confident communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Sales or customer service experience, preferably in the freight and logistics industry.
  • Proven success in calculating and submitting quotes and tender submissions.
  • Experience of negotiating with clients and suppliers.
  • Key account management experience, with a proven track record of developing relationships and growing business.
  • Good analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Good administrative skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
