Special Education Teacher Position

We are in search of an impassioned and dedicated SEND Teacher to take up a full-time position within our supportive and inclusive primary school in Sheldon, Birmingham. This exciting role focuses on working within our SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Provision, providing support to pupils with a range of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
About the Role
This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity that involves teaching responsibilities including lesson planning, preparation, and assessment. As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with SEMH needs, promoting their emotional, social, and academic development.
- Fully qualified teachers who can demonstrate experience working with SEND pupils, particularly those with SEMH needs, will be highly valued.
- A commitment to inclusive education is essential, along with a strong understanding of the specific needs of pupils with SEMH.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Teacher Reference Number (TRN)
- Significant experience working with SEND pupils, ideally having completed their induction year
- Able to work full-time and take on the full responsibilities of a class teacher
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a flexible and proactive attitude

- A competitive rate of pay at times to suit your needs, with an estimated salary of £30,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience
