Special Education Teacher for a Key Stage One Student

Job Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified teacher for a unique teaching role at Connex Education.
This is a non-classroom based position working one-to-one with a key stage one student who has severe special needs. The student is not in education at present due to waiting on a special educational placement, and this will be working within the student's home with the help of very supportive parents.
The learner has an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) which can be sent to the successful teacher prior to meeting the student.
Key Responsibilities
- Adapting your teaching style to meet each child's academic, personal, and social needs as per their EHCP
- Building an excellent rapport with both the pupils and their families
- Assisting with the development and implementation of the Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP)
Requirements
- QTS or equivalent qualification
- Driving license (preferable)
- Restraint training (preferable)
- Valid DBS, ideally on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one
Salary Information
The estimated salary for this role is £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Please note that this is a guide and we encourage candidates to discuss this further with us.
