Performance and Operations Manager

The University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance and Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Referral to Treatment team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of inpatient and outpatient performance across our Bristol and Weston sites.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Corporate Referral to Treatment team to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care and promote a positive working environment for staff.
- Proactively manage the 18-week referral to treatment pathway and ensure achievement of access targets in line with National, regional, and Trust objectives.
- Lead service improvement initiatives in booking processes to improve performance and support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Work closely with Divisional Assistant General Managers, Performance and Operational Managers, Assistant Performance and Operational Managers, and outpatient and elective booking staff/validation staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality and timely care.
- Monitor demand for services and ensure that the Trust achieves its key performance objectives.
- Significant experience of managing a range of staff or a major service.
- Significant experience of budgetary management, including management of contract income.
- Acute sector operational experience.
- Experience and proven ability in managing organisational/service change.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Ability to think and plan tactically and creatively to prioritise work programs in the face of competing demands and within resources.
- Proven ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical and workable solutions to address them.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to produce and present analytical reports.
- Ability to manage, motivate, and develop people.
