Product Design and Development Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Junior Design Engineer to join our team at MDE Consultants Ltd.

The successful candidate will support the development of products from early prototypes to final production by collaborating with the Project Lead. As part of the project team, you will liaise with the operations, engineering, and project management teams to deliver the project deliverables through the new product design phases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop products independently or as part of a team.
  • Produce fully working high-quality prototypes using model-making techniques and/or 3D printing.
  • Communicate technical details through drawings/cross-sections & mock-ups, both handmade and CAD driven.
  • Present product test data clearly and share with project stakeholders.
  • Hold a degree in Product Design or Design Engineering.
  • Produce high-quality functioning prototypes.
  • Have practical experience of 3D printing.
  • Be proficient in Solidworks CAD.
  • Build strong relationships with internal staff and sub-contractors.
  • Experience with Arduino programming or similar is beneficial.
