About the Role

Crux Product Design is seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Factors Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Human Factors Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, execution, and reporting of human factors and usability related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead full usability programmes strategized to meet client and project objectives.
  • Deliverables: Consistently and independently produce high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations to Crux standards.
  • Human Factors Expertise: Expert understanding of Human Factors as a discipline, including user needs, best practices, and up-to-date regulatory framework.
  • Usability Focus: Take ownership of ensuring usability is kept at the core of product development by identifying needs and actively supporting the resolution of these challenges.
  • Client Relationships: Build trusted relationships within existing client accounts and pursue opportunities and referrals for selling usability services into these accounts.
  • Business Development: Support business development through attending sales meetings and generating proposals in response to client communication.
  • Stakeholder Management: Deliver quality stakeholder management by confidently communicating the value of Human Factors and your work to colleagues and clients.
  • Team Development: Promote awareness of usability within the business and help to promote Crux's growing in-house Human Factors capabilities.
  • Process Management: Take responsibility for maintaining Crux's HF processes and keeping practices up-to-date.
  • Personal Development: Identify and pursue personal development areas and share new knowledge and skills with the team.
  • Thought Leadership: Seek out team capability development and thought leadership opportunities to ensure Crux Human Factors' competitiveness.
  • Mentorship: Develop and mentor team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support Crux's continual development by raising any suggestions or ideas you might have for improvement.
  • Compliance: Comply with all company Health and Safety and Quality Management policies and procedures in order to ensure that the performance of daily duties does not endanger fellow employees, visitors, contractors or any member of the general public.
Requirements
  • Education: Educated in a human factors related subject (Product Design, Engineering, Psychology)
  • Experience: 2+ years applying human factors in a highly regulated sector
