About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Factors Consultant to join our team at Kinneir Dufort. As a Senior Human Factors Consultant, you will play a key role in the development of our human-centered design solutions, working closely with our clients to understand their needs and deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and delivery of human factors studies, including expert review, task analysis, contextual inquiry, and formative and summative studies
  • Develop and implement human factors programs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including FDA guidelines and Medical Device Regulation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop user-centered solutions, including medical devices, digital user interfaces, packaging, labeling, and instructions for use
  • Conduct risk management and project management activities, including working within design control under quality management systems
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices
Requirements
  • Proven experience in human factors roles, including medical device experience, preferably in a consultancy or similar team environment
  • Robust understanding of human factors practice, including risk management, usability, design, engineering, testing, and human factors study planning/design
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commercial awareness and ability to manage time within defined timescales
