About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Human Factors Integration Engineer to join our team at SEA. As a key member of our Human Systems input team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of usability and maintainability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Providing Human Factors input to our design approach and its execution across all products
* Influencing design work to ensure that our products are easy to use and meet Human Factors Customer requirements
* Ensuring that our availability and maintainability targets can be achieved for the requisite number of years into the future

You will work closely with Engineers from all disciplines, including Systems, Software, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, as well as with Project, Programme, and Bid Managers.

As a Senior Human Factors Integration Engineer, you will be required to brief our senior Leadership Team on a regular basis regarding the application of Human Factors criteria to our products.

You will also be responsible for managing Human Factors activities, including:

* Review of Human Factors Documentation and Requirements
* Carrying out Ergonomic and Anthropometric Assessments
* Carrying out Quantitative and Qualitative Human Error and Reliability Assessments
* Human Factors input to ILS activities, including Maintenance activities
* Human Factors input into Human Computer Interface work
* Human Factors input into Verification and Validation activities
* Human Factors inputs into Safety Cases
* Reviewing Subcontracted work and other management activities associated with outsourcing HSI activities
* Providing Human Factors technical input to bidding activities

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Experience of implementing Human Factors strategies across Defence programmes
* Experience in User Experience or Human Computer Interfaces
* Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
* Chartered status with the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (or equivalent experience) would be desirable
* Degree in Human Factor Engineering – desirable
* Team Leadership and Management Experience
