About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Crux Product Design. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the development of medical and consumer goods devices, from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple design and development projects, ranging from initial concept, product definition, design & development, and transfer to manufacture
  • Lead and work with project teams to solve challenging design, mechanical engineering, electronics, and software challenges
  • Provide programme management activities for large client accounts and client partnerships
  • Line manage other members of the Project Management team to ensure successful delivery of their projects under these client projects and partnerships
  • Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance
  • Manage project timelines, budgets and risks
  • Manage, allocate and approve resource for projects, and manage interdependences between projects
  • Manage relationships with our clients, building trust and collaboration
  • Capture business opportunities from ongoing client project activities
  • Create and review project proposals/quotations including defining project schedules and budgets
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status to clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements
  • A 1st or 2:1 degree in an engineering or other relevant discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years' project management experience, managing medical device design and development projects
  • Experience working to ISO 13485 and ISO 14971, or to the equivalent regulations and requirements of the FDA
  • A project management track-record gained within a highly technical and team-oriented environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with experience of formal project reporting
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and work flexibly within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an articulate and diplomatic manner
  • Experience of planning multiple parallel tasks and defining project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Ability to track project progress and deliver projects on-time and to budget
  • Ability to address issues as they arise, and both make and drive decisions
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management experience across all levels of seniority
  • Line management experience
