About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Factors Engineer to join our team at Crux Product Design. As a key member of our Human Factors & Usability team, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and reporting of human factors and usability related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership
    • Lead full usability programs to meet client and project objectives.
    • Develop and implement effective human factors strategies to ensure usability is integrated into product development.
  • Deliverables and Quality
    • Produce high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations and Crux standards.
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project progress and results.
  • Expertise and Knowledge
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest human factors best practices, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends.
    • Apply expert knowledge of human factors to identify and address usability challenges in product development.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
    • Effectively communicate the value of human factors and usability to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Professional Development
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for personal and professional growth.
    • Share knowledge and expertise with the team to enhance overall capabilities.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Educated in a human factors related subject (Product Design, Engineering, Psychology).
  • Experience
    • 2+ years applying human factors in a highly regulated sector.
  • Desirable Skills
    • Experience applying FDA human factors guidance and EU MDR requirements.
    • Conference speaking/publication experience.
    • CIEHF registered membership.
    • Consultancy experience.
    • Line management experience.
    • Experience within multi-disciplinary teams for project delivery.
