About the Role

Crux Product Design is a leading consultancy seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join our project management team in a senior position. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to further their career and work on high-profile product development projects.

In this role, you will collaborate with our multidisciplinary design and engineering teams to lead and manage the development of medical and consumer goods devices, from concept through to production. This is a key position of responsibility, and your success will be crucial to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple design and development projects, encompassing initial concept, product definition, design & development, and transfer to manufacture
  • Lead and work with project teams to resolve complex design, mechanical engineering, electronics, and software challenges
  • Provide programme management activities for large client accounts and client partnerships
  • Line manage other members of the Project Management team to ensure successful delivery of their projects under these client projects and partnerships
  • Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and risks
  • Manage, allocate, and approve resources for projects, and manage interdependencies between projects
  • Manage relationships with clients, building trust and collaboration
  • Capture business opportunities from ongoing client project activities
  • Create and review project proposals/quotations, including defining project schedules and budgets
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status to clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements
  • A 1st or 2:1 degree in an engineering or other relevant discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years' project management experience, managing medical device design and development projects
  • Experience working to ISO 13485 and ISO 14971, or to the equivalent regulations and requirements of the FDA
  • A project management track-record gained within a highly technical and team-oriented environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with experience of formal project reporting
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and work flexibly within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an articulate and diplomatic manner
  • Experience of planning multiple parallel tasks and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Ability to track project progress and deliver projects on-time and to budget
  • Ability to address issues as they arise, and both make and drive decisions
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management experience across all levels of seniority
  • Line management experience
