Mentor for Young People with Complex Needs

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Outreach Youth Worker to provide specialist support to primary and secondary students with complex emotional, social, and educational needs.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Provide guidance and support to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent and effective support for students.
  • Cultivate a safe and inclusive environment that promotes respect, empathy, and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualised support to students in community venues or residential settings, depending on their individual needs.

  • Assess and address the complex needs of students, including those with challenging behaviour or medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement targeted strategies to support students' emotional, social, and educational development.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated support for students.

Estimated salary: £20 per hour. Working days: Monday to Friday (term time only). Flexible hours: between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Age group: Key Stage 1-4. Specialist provision: SEN, SEND, SEMH, Behavioural, Medical.
