Job Title: Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker

Area Camden is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our residential service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, social, and emotional care and development of children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide awake overnight care and support to children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, and colleagues.
  • Participate in activities and bedtime routines that promote person-centered care.
  • Use a computer to maintain accurate records and report any incidents or concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with out-of-hours services and respond to phone calls and messages professionally.
Requirements:
  • Experience in childcare or a related field, with a focus on safeguarding and child development.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with energy and enthusiasm for the role.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining Area Camden's policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and listen to children.
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prepare work.
