Main Responsibilities- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
- Assess and respond to the individual needs of each young person, creating personalized care plans to promote their growth and development.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that each young person's needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the care team, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve care delivery.
- Engage with young people in a positive and proactive manner, promoting their independence, self-esteem, and confidence.
- Support young people with their daily living needs, including personal care, meal preparation, and domestic duties.
- Experience working in the care sector, preferably in residential care settings.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or a commitment to undertake this qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of the care team and young people.
- Willingness to work some Bank Holidays and flexible shifts, including sleep-ins.
