Residential Childcare Support Worker Position

About the Role:

Area Camden is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care to young people in our residential settings. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes positive development and well-being.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the team to support young people in achieving their goals and developing meaningful relationships.
  • Provide emotional and social support to help young people build self-esteem and confidence.
  • Encourage and enable young people to make positive life choices and develop independence.
  • Record and maintain accurate records of young people's progress and care plans.
  • Work closely with other professionals, including health advisors, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and support.

Requirements:

  • Ability to engage with young people in a positive and proactive approach.
  • Self-motivated with a positive nature and sensitive to the needs of others.
  • Experience working in the care sector or residential care, with a relevant qualification or commitment to undertake a Level Diploma for Residential Childcare.
  • Willingness to work some Bank Holidays and flexible working hours.
