Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to join our team at Area Camden. As a key member of our residential childcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, social, and emotional care and development of the children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the safety and welfare of each child during the duration of the wake night shift.
• Offer empathy and compassion to children during night times as part of the wake night team.
• Participate in activities with the children and assist with bedtime routines that are person-centred to the child.
• Maintain accurate records using a computer and report any missing children, following the Philomena procedure.
• Communicate effectively with our out-of-hours services and respond to phone calls professionally.

Requirements:
• Must be able to work as part of a team and bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.
• Experience and knowledge of safeguarding children are essential.
• Ability to maintain Area Camden's policies and procedures and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to work towards the relevant qualification if not held and hold a relevant qualification or be committed to undertaking a Level Diploma for Residential Childcare.
