Job Title: Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Area Camden. As a key member of our residential service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, social, and emotional care and development of the children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide awake overnight care and support to children and young people in our residential service.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of each child during the night shift.
  • Engage in activities with the children, including bedtime routines that are person-centered to their needs.
  • Use a computer to keep accurate records and report any incidents or concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with our out-of-hours services and respond to phone calls professionally.
Requirements:
  • Experience and knowledge of safeguarding children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain Area Camden's policies and procedures.
  • Relevant qualification or commitment to undertake a Level Diploma for Residential Childcare.
