About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Substance Misuse Recovery Specialist to join our Multi Agency Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering secondary support to families open to social care.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging high-risk families with substance/alcohol misuse problems and providing advice on screening and clinical interventions to address these issues.
You will work closely with other agencies to complete assessments, develop individual recovery plans, and provide support in accessing community treatment/services.
In addition, you will utilize evidence-based interventions such as motivational interviewing, ITEP, and cognitive behavioral techniques to promote engagement in treatment services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working within substance misuse services.
- Knowledge of local services and geography.
- Motivational interviewing techniques.
