About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ward Administrator Support Specialist to join our team at Dunnock View.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide day-to-day administrative support for the wards, including updating service users' information, managing the ward diary, and organizing timetables.

You will be responsible for arranging meetings and typing up all correspondence and documentation.

In this role, you will work closely with the admin team to provide clerical and typing duties, using information technology to produce various documents and electronic information.

You will also manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications, including an electronic rostering system.

Maintaining and updating filing and record-keeping systems is crucial in this position, as well as updating information such as primary nurse lists and ward posters.

You will answer and direct calls as required and assist wards with tasks such as typing duties, stationery, recording service user medical appointments, and liaising with the Ward to ensure ward diary/Shared Calendar entries are updated/correspondence etc.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • The ability to respond to changes in service/adaptable/open to change
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work within established procedures but refers more complex issues to the relevant manager

Communications will be with service users, as well as with other staff, requiring some judgement to facilitate correct administrative records.

This role may occasionally involve challenging situations.

About You Will Be Working

You will be part of a new team at this 42-bed service, providing treatment for men and women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental health disorders.

A trauma-informed care model focuses on length of stay to ensure individuals can move quickly and safely from the service to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment.

Service users may be suffering from acute mental illness, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, dual diagnosis, self-harm, or substance misuse issues.
