Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Youth Support Specialist - Substance Misuse to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing specialist support to young people struggling with substance misuse issues.



About the Role


This rewarding position involves working closely with young people, their families, and other agencies to develop and implement effective care plans. Your primary objective will be to provide guidance, support, and education to help young people navigate the challenges associated with substance misuse.

Responsibilities


As a Youth Support Specialist - Substance Misuse, your key responsibilities will include:



  • Conducting initial assessments and developing personalized care plans for young people
  • Providing one-to-one support, group work, and educational sessions to promote healthy lifestyles and substance-free choices
  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support and coordination
  • Maintaining accurate records and case files, adhering to data protection guidelines
  • Engaging with local communities, schools, and partner agencies to raise awareness and promote our services

  • A proven track record of working with young people in a substance misuse setting
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines
