Exciting Opportunity in Youth Care

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Development Specialist to join our team in Stoke on Trent, working with young people aged 8-18 who require support due to Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviors.

About the Role

As a Youth Development Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting young people to participate in activities, take responsibility for their lives depending on their age, and develop social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
  • Maintaining a safe environment for young people, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Encouraging positive relationships with staff, parents, Social Workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to help young people achieve their goals and aspirations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with young people or in a related field.

Location and Working Hours

This role is based in Stoke on Trent, with working hours commencing at 08:00 am and finishing at 11:00 pm. A sleep-in period is included in the working pattern.
