Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive individual to oversee a portfolio of intricate claims, with values reaching up to £500,000. This role involves managing cases that may include serious injuries and fatalities, all while adhering to the company's Delegated Authority guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and accurate diary management while meeting personal KPIs and SLAs.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of claims to ensure they are reserved accurately and in accordance with industry best practices, escalating those that exceed authority limits.
  • Prepare detailed and timely reports, both written and verbal, for internal stakeholders and reinsurers.
  • Identify when to engage external resources to optimize outcomes while minimizing claims expenditure.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior claims handlers, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated on industry developments through continuous learning and training, sharing insights with the team.
  • Contribute to the establishment of technical standards and best practices within the organization.
