Senior Technical Claims Handler

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Claims Handler to join our team at Acorn Insurance and Financial Services Limited. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of complex claims, providing technical support and guidance to less experienced handlers, and handling technical referrals.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Management: Proactively manage a caseload of technically complex claims, ensuring that they are accurately reserved and reported to reinsurers in a timely manner.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced claims handlers, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Referrals: Handle technical referrals, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure the best outcome for the business.
- Training and Development: Participate in training and auditing of less experienced handlers, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Technical Knowledge: Maintain your own technical knowledge through training and seminars, providing feedback and training on issues identified.
- Strong Analytical Skills: You will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly Motivated: You will be highly motivated, with a strong desire to succeed and make a positive contribution to the business.

- Technical Knowledge: You will have a solid understanding of case law, statute, CPR, and Pre-Action Protocols.
