Key Responsibilities- Claims Management: Proactively manage a caseload of technically complex claims, ensuring they are realistically and accurately reserved in line with best practice and the earliest opportunity.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced claims handlers, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Technical Referrals: Handle technical referrals, ensuring that complex claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide accurate and timely written reports and verbal presentations of cases to the wider business and reinsurers.
- Training and Development: Participate in training and auditing of less experienced handlers, maintaining own technical knowledge through training and seminars.
- Technical Expertise: A solid understanding of case law, statute, CPR, and Pre-Action Protocols.
- Communication Skills: Persuasive, strong, and confident communication skills, with the ability to use own initiative to explore all options to achieve the best outcome for the business.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize work effectively and manage time efficiently.
