We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Claims Handler to join our team at Acorn Insurance and Financial Services Limited. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of complex claims, providing technical support and guidance to less experienced handlers, and handling technical referrals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Management: Proactively manage a caseload of technically complex claims, ensuring they are accurately reserved and reported to reinsurers in a timely manner.
  • Technical Support: Provide guidance and support to less experienced claims handlers, helping them to develop their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Technical Referrals: Handle technical referrals, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure the best outcome for the business.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training and auditing of less experienced handlers, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Technical Knowledge: Maintain and develop your technical knowledge through training and seminars, providing feedback and training to others as needed.
Requirements
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
