We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Claims Handler to join our team at Acorn Insurance and Financial Services Limited. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of technically complex claims, providing technical support and guidance to less experienced claims handlers, and handling technical referrals.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Management: Proactively manage a caseload of technically complex claims, ensuring they are accurately reserved and reported in a timely manner.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced claims handlers, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Referrals: Handle technical referrals, ensuring that they are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
- Reporting: Provide accurate and timely written reports and verbal presentations of cases to the wider business and reinsurers.
- Training and Development: Participate in training and auditing of less experienced handlers, maintaining your own technical knowledge through training and seminars.
- Strong Analytical Skills: You will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly Motivated: You will be highly motivated, with a strong desire to succeed and make a positive contribution to the business.
