Job Overview:

This SEN Education and Learning Specialist position involves supporting children with special educational needs in schools across Cannock and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include providing support to pupils within the classroom, small groups, and one-to-one settings, using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior-based instruction to promote learning and development, and assisting teachers with lesson planning, marking, and delivery.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2 or 3 in Childhood Studies or a Teaching Assistant course.
  • Experience working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school or setting.
  • Additional SEN training certifications, such as MAPA, Makaton, or Team Teach.
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with extra needs.
