Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Social Worker to join our Adult Safeguarding Team. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of adults at risk on the Isle of Wight.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Chairing and overseeing the coordination of safeguarding meetings
  • Demonstrating a positive and flexible attitude to adapt to the needs of individuals and services
  • Ensuring that individuals are protected from harm and abuse and are able to live a fulfilling life where their wellbeing is promoted
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A social work qualification
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Data Protection Act
  • Specific experience in safeguarding work, with an understanding of S.42 threshold and safeguarding duties
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is around £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including:
