Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Paediatric Oncology Social Worker to join our team in Cardiff. As a Paediatric Oncology Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of 30-35 cases, varying in complexity, ensuring each family receives the care and assistance they need. Some out-of-county travel may be required, approximately one day a week, as the caseload will be spread across Wales.

You will work closely with health teams and social services when necessary to coordinate holistic care plans. You will be based primarily at the Cardiff hospital, where the team operates out of a shared office with a dedicated space for social workers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent plus consolidation if required
  • Registration with Social Care Wales
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to complete a new DBS application at your expense
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to £37 per hour (Umbrella) and enjoy meaningful work that has a direct, positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
