Job Title: Senior Social Worker - Adult Safeguarding Team

Location: Isle of Wight, UK

Estimated Salary: £38,500 per annum (based on experience)

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Social Worker who can demonstrate a strong understanding of adult safeguarding principles and practices. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in social work, with a proven track record of working with adults at risk and their families.

In this role, you will be responsible for chairing and overseeing the coordination of safeguarding meetings, working closely with partner agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for service users. You will also be expected to provide guidance and support to junior colleagues, contributing to the development of the team's skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and investigations, identifying risks and developing effective safeguarding plans.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and partner agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues, contributing to the team's development and continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, applying this knowledge to inform practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Registered with the HCPC as a Social Worker.
  • Proven experience in adult safeguarding, including conducting investigations and developing safeguarding plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
