About the Role:
This role involves overseeing end-to-end dispatch and delivery processes, ensuring smooth transportation, timely shipments, and optimal customer service. You will work closely with third-party logistics providers, transport partners, and internal teams to achieve this goal. Key responsibilities include despatch management, logistics coordination, delivery route optimisation, customer service liaison, SLA negotiation, and delivery tracking system implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-efficient deliveries* Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet delivery expectations and address any issues promptly* Analyse logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and cost management* Ensure compliance with UK/Irish transport regulations, health, and environmental standards* Motivate and lead a team in efficient daily operations, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement* Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in logistics and supply chain management* Implement new technologies and systems to improve logistics processes and customer experience* Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates and customer satisfaction

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years' experience in a logistics management position, preferably in manufacturing or a related sector. You should possess a proven track record in despatch and delivery management, strong team leadership and change management skills, expertise in logistics software, route planning, and tracking systems, familiarity with UK/Irish transport regulations, excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to travel as needed for dispatch oversight.
