**40 hour 6 month contracts available with the potential to go permanent.**

*Shift pattern will be working 3 out of 4 Saturdays per month*

The Jaq. Group is a fast-moving company which has experienced considerable growth over the last year. The role of Despatch Operative is to prepare and package all orders to be shipped out to customers in a presentable and timely fashion.

**Job Duties**:

- Pick customer orders from dispatch locations, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery according to scheduled pick up times
- Prepare orders for packing and shipping using appropriate materials and equipment
- Quality checking customer orders and all inventory before leaving the warehouse
- Ensuring appropriate documentation is attachments within orders as per company procedures and shipping regauations
- Assiting with unloading of vechiles in good in and outwards
- Liasing with couriers and external parties
- Sorting materials/ items onto shelve racking, stock counting and location checks
- Ensure work stations are kept tidy whilst on duty and general housekeeping adhered to
- General warehouse duties
- Undertake any other duties as required, that are within the competence of the post.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable
- Able and willing to work additional hours when required including Saturdays

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Previous experience of materials handling & control in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Forklift licence

Pay: £12.00 per hour
