Women's Support Specialist

About The Nia Project
For nearly 50 years, our organisation has provided high-quality services to support women and children affected by male violence. Our mission is to end men's violence against women and girls.
We put women first – always and without hesitation: we believe women, we are run by women, for women. We leave no woman behind: we challenge inequality and discrimination and believe that uniting women of all backgrounds is essential to ending the sex-based oppression of women.
As a Women's Support Specialist, you will provide one-to-one counselling and group therapy to adult women who are survivors of sexual violence. You will work as part of a feminist Rape Crisis service that develops to meet the needs of women and girls. We offer free, confidential specialist support for women and girls who have been raped or experienced any other form of sexual violence or abuse at any time in their lives.
The role involves travel and working across East London. We are looking for highly organised and self-motivated women who are passionate about ending violence against women, girls and children. Salary: £24,400-£27,200 per annum (pro rata depending on experience and qualification).
To succeed, you will need excellent communication skills, a commitment to nia's feminist approach and a 'can-do' attitude. Please note that CVs will not be accepted. A selection process will take place, with interviews scheduled for [dates omitted].
