Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Design Engineer and Senior Design Manager to join our Wentworth House Rail Design Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the design process for rail and civil engineering projects, ensuring that all designs meet the required quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the design process for rail and civil engineering projects
  • Develop and implement design strategies and solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with project requirements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Manage and mentor a team of design engineers and technicians
  • Develop and maintain design procedures and guidelines
  • Conduct site surveys and inspections
  • Prepare and present design reports and proposals
  • Manage and coordinate with contractors and suppliers
  • Ensure design quality and safety standards are met

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in lead design engineer and senior design manager roles
  • Strong knowledge of rail and civil engineering design principles and practices
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in design software and tools
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
