Business Growth Specialist

We are seeking a motivated Business Growth Specialist to join our client's team on a permanent basis, based in Coventry with flexible hybrid working arrangements. The role is part of an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) that operates under industry standards and is regulated by OFGEM.
This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic, newly formed team where you'll play a pivotal role in the setup and operation of the business. You will help develop and expand the organization while driving its growth ambitions. In this role, you will build and lead the Business Operations team, ensuring efficient and effective management of operational and administrative activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Growth Strategy Development: Help develop and expand the organization while driving its growth ambitions.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure efficient and effective management of operational and administrative activities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Fulfill the IDNO's MPAS obligations and execute DUOS (Distribution Use of System) billing, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Customer Engagement: Handle and coordinate B2B and customer inquiries, maintain accurate asset records for the IDNO, and act as the primary contact for external IDNO inquiries.

- Proven experience in business operations management, ideally in the energy sector.
- Strong leadership and team development skills, with a track record in stakeholder management.
- In-depth understanding of sales, operations, technical, and regulatory functions.
- Ability to oversee and manage complex projects and processes.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and the capacity to work independently.
- Familiarity with IDNO regulations and standards.
- Expertise in MPAN management and DUOS billing.
- Proficiency in business operations management software.
- Experience in budget management.
The estimated salary for this role is around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This represents a competitive offer for someone with your skills and qualifications.
