Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated mental health practitioner to join our established multi-disciplinary team in Folkestone, covering South Kent Coast. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and supporting clients who have experienced psychosis, as well as their families and carers.

Main Duties of the Job

  • To conduct comprehensive assessments of newly referred adults and children with First Episode Psychosis, and present findings to the wider team.
  • To manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence-based principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  • To provide professional contributions, supervision, and advice to the multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality mental health services.
  • To act as care coordinator under the CPA process as appropriate.
  • To provide leadership for students and junior staff through supervision and appraisal.
  • To participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of MDT services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
  • To regularly supervise students on practice placements.
  • To participate in the duty and assessment function covering East Kent EIP.
  • To provide profession-specific assessments and interventions for the wider team as required.
