Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team as a Band 6 specialist in Early Intervention in Psychosis Services. This is a 12-month secondment opportunity based in Folkestone, covering South Kent Coast.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of newly referred adults and children with First Episode Psychosis, presenting findings to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, utilizing evidence-based and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  • Provide professional contributions, supervision, and advice to the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality mental health services.
  • Act as a care coordinator under the CPA process as appropriate.
  • Lead and supervise students and junior staff through supervision and appraisal.
  • Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of multidisciplinary team services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
  • Supervise students on practice placements and participate in the duty and assessment function covering East Kent EIP.
