About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or Qualified Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to children and young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat children and young people under the MHST 3 Core functions (Targeted Intervention, Whole School Approach & Consultation and Liaison)
  • Work as part of a team with a set number of schools to deliver the core components of the service
  • Active participation in local and county-wide meetings and supervision forums
What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive induction program, including mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation. You will also have the opportunity to meet our executive team, senior managers, and attend drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health, and wellbeing, and key processes. Our extensive local induction includes a service welcome meeting, team meet and greet, and shadowing opportunities across a range of settings.

Person Specification

We are looking for individuals who have successfully completed an Education Mental Health Practitioner and Child Wellbeing Practitioner course. Desirable qualifications include 1 year of qualified experience, working with children, and experience of delivering specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families (CBT, solution-focused brief therapy). Excellent communication skills and a driving license are also essential.
