About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including CBT, to children and young people experiencing emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.
  • Work closely with schools and education settings to develop and implement Whole School Approaches to mental wellbeing.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior colleagues, promoting their professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health initiatives and programs within the Trust.
Requirements
  • Graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or a related discipline.
  • Experience delivering CBT interventions to children and young people, with a strong understanding of child development and mental health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and education professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
