We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to children and young people in schools and colleges.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to children and young people experiencing emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.
- Work closely with schools and education settings to develop and implement Whole School Approaches (WSA) to mental wellbeing and emotional health.
- Hold an individual caseload and provide supervision to junior colleagues, including those in training.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health services in schools and colleges, including the design and delivery of training programs.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, education staff, and healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive support to children and young people.
- Graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering CBT interventions to children and young people, as well as experience working with schools and education settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and professionals from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies, as well as legislation related to children and adolescents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and locations.
