Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional professional to take on the role of Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist, directly supporting the continuous improvement programme by working collaboratively with teams and colleagues to achieve sustainable improvements. The ideal candidate will have experience of applying QI / Lean or other quality improvement systems across numerous pathways.

Salary: £56,900 - £67,000 per annum

Job Description

The successful candidate will oversee and monitor the quality and safety aspects of specialised mental health services commissioned through MPFT as Lead Provider in the West Midlands region. This involves understanding the local population and empowering local clinicians and Experts by Experience to design improved pathways of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop internal systems and monitoring which ensure that specialised commissioning responds appropriately to, and learns effectively from, a range of information sources including complaints, serious incidents, and patients' experience of health care.
  • Oversee the annual Quality Review Programme to all Adult Eating Disorders and Perinatal Mental Health wards across the West Midlands.
  • Support against the requirements of the Quality Maturity Framework.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of applying QI / Lean or other quality improvement systems across numerous pathways.
  • Training in Quality improvement in Healthcare.
  • A working knowledge of regulatory requirements associated with the delivery of Trust services.
