Quality Control Specialist

At GE Aviation, we are committed to delivering excellence in quality control within the HVDC Power Transformer PDG. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout our production stages. This includes leading the organization and technical support of our Quality inspection team, conducting competency validations, and overseeing quality control validations across various production stages.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Specialist with a passion for customer satisfaction and attention to detail. Key responsibilities include:
- Organizing and providing technical support to the Quality inspection team to ensure their effectiveness in maintaining quality standards.
- Conducting Operator and Quality inspector competency validation to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Ensuring all internal quality control validations are clearly defined and followed, including Design gate stage sign-off, Incoming Goods inspection, and in-manufacture Quality checks.
- Performing spot checks at workstations and supporting workshop assessments, including compliance audits covering Industrial Rules and Quality control documented requirements.
- Leading QR1 and QR2 meeting governance to ensure quality standards are met.
- Continuously developing quality control processes, including Design processes, Incoming Goods, and Manufacturing Control Plans, to drive improvement in product compliance and defect identification.
- Managing internal design and Manufacturing quality record administration and storage.
- Reviewing and consolidating End Of Manufacturing Reports for the engineering and manufacturing portion.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and have expertise in Quality Control techniques. The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience.
